Junction City police will be conducting night time seat belt enforcement in the downtown area throughout the month of May.

Police Captain Dan Breci said there will be five additional officers on the street to observe those that are not buckled up and take enforcement action.

Also, motorists who are stopped for traffic violations, and who are suspected of intoxication, will be given an on-site field sobriety test.
