Royse Accepted into Fire Service Executive Development Institute

Junction City Fire Chief Kevin Royse has been accepted into the 2014 session of the Fire Service Executive Development Institute. The announcement was made by the International Association of Fire Chiefs. junction city symbol

Now in its second year, the FSEDI is a year-long leadership development program developed by the International Association of Fire Chiefs to provide new and aspiring chiefs with the tools they need to advance and have successful careers.

Royse has been awarded a scholarship which will cover expenses associated with travel for three sessions to be held in Northern Virginia during the coming year. The first session will be held May 3-9, 2014 in Leesburg, Virginia. He is one of 20 Fire Chiefs and Deputy Fire Chiefs nationwide to be selected.

Royse has served as Junction City Fire Chief and EMS Director since July 22,2013 after serving 26 years with the Wichita Fire Department.
