The Red Cross is hosting a two day blood drive that began Thursday morning at the Municipal Building in Junction City.
Joyce McRae is coordinating the blood drive along with her husband Tom
McRae.
She explained that they are hoping for 54 whole blood donors and seven double red donors,”but we would really love to go over that number and shock them a little bit at Red Cross and see a good turnout.”
As of 12:30 p.m. Thursday McRae said they had a steady number of people donating and felt they were on track to get their goal.
The blood drive is open until 6:00 p.m. Thursday night and will re-open Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building.
