WAKEENEY- Authorities in Trego County were involved in an early morning high speed chase on Interstate 70.

According to the Trego County Sheriff’s office:
On Wednesday at approximately 3:55 a.m. the Trego County sheriff’s office was advised of an erratic vehicle on Interstate 70. The vehicle had gone into the ditch, had come out and was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed in the westbound lanes. Officers perused the vehicle to the 143-mile marker (just east of Ellis) where the driver stopped, got out and ran south across the interstate and was taken into custody.
