SALINA—An 11-year old boy has been charged with aggravated assault, and criminal threat after a playground argument.

Salina Police responded to Coronado Elementary School Tuesday evening after four other children, ages 9 and 11, reported the boy threatened them with a butterfly knife and said he was going to get a gun from home.

Officers said the argument began with a dispute over the boy’s bike.

The boy had his mug shot taken and was fingerprinted before being turned over to the custody of his parents.
