The last day of school for Fort Riley Middle School has been moved to Wednesday, May 21st, two days earlier than initially scheduled.

The move was announced in a news release from Geary USD 475. The last day was moved in order to help facilitate the movement of furniture and materials to the new middle school. All of the furniture needs to be moved from the old school to the new middle school during that week so the next phase of construction can begin.

The District has carefully evaluated the required number of student contact minutes for the year and has determined that all contact minute requirements will be met by the end of the school day on May 21st.

Junction City Middle School’s final day will remain Friday, May 23rd.
