The 2015 Budget at Geary Community Hospital includes pay raises for employees, something they were unable to do in the 2014 budget.

Joe Stratton, GCH CEO explained that it will be a roughly 2 percent increase.

“We took a long hard look at it, the administration and the board, and we think it’s something that we want to do and need to do at this point in time. We have a darn good workforce and we want to let them know they’re valued and that’s partly how we can do it,” Stratton said.

The raises will be across the board for all employees. Stratton said they are likely to occur sometime in May when the new fiscal year begins.
