Since January of this year Dan Zoeller, a 2004 Graduate of St. Xavier School in Junction City, has been organizing an alumni basketball game at his Alma mater.

Zoeller said that he has already spoke to between 35 and 40 former players who have agreed to come back. He’s even recruited some former coaches to return to the bench.

“Mr. Ben Meseke, who’s a former St. Xavier graduate, him and Jim Westerhaus are going to be the honorary coaches for the boys game,” Zoeller said. “Mr. Roger Diekmann who was a teacher there at Saint Xavier for a good eight years and was the first one to start the female program in basketball, hes going to be the honorary coach for the girls game.”

The game will be played in the Bradley Gymnasium at Saint Xavier on Saturday, December 20th. Zoeller hopes to turn the alumni game into an annual event.
