Mud will be flying on Saturday May 3rd, in Junction City for the 13th annual Junction City Mud Bogg.
The event is a major fundraiser for Junction City’s Sundown Salute. They
have teamed up with the Kansas Mud Racing Organization again this year. Eric Boland, the events coordinator explained that the KMRO brings in some big trucks to the event.
“They get a lot more bigger boys that travel with them around the state of Kansas and a lot more high quality trucks and stuff,” Boland said. “That’s why we went with them.”
Over 100 trucks participated in last years mud bogg,”and each truck probably hit the pit every bit of three times so a truck went in that pit 300 times on average last year. That’s a lot of runs in the pit.”
The event starts at 1:00 p.m. just off of Grant Avenue on the east side of Junction City and will run late into the night.
