Ellis- A WaKeeney man was killed in a rollover crash on Old Highway 40 at 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported Ryan Richard Schrant, 20, WaKeeney died when a 2003 Chevy Impala driven by Dustin Edward Zahn, 20, Quinter left the highway, 2 miles west of Ells and went into the south ditch sideways rolling 1 and ¾ times.

Schrant was declared dead at the scene,

Zahn and passengers in the vehicle Rachael Renee Monteil, 20, Odessa, Mo, Kristian Russell Tuttle, 20, WaKeeney, and Deleon Deon Stephen, 22, Aurora, Co,. were transported to Hays Medical Center

KHP reported Schrant and Tuttle were not wearing seat belts.
