Doug Vogelsang Named Ben Kitchens Volunteer of the Year

Doug Vogelsang was named the Ben Kitchens Volunteer of the Year at Thursday’s United Way of Junction City/Geary County Annual Report.

Vogelsang is the President of the Geary County Food Pantry Board of Directors and has been with the food pantry for nearly 20 years according to Ailleen Cray, United Way Director.

“It was really precious to be able to share with him that kind of recognition from the community,” Cray said. “He’s joining some other folks that have pretty high stature here in our community, who have served all of us for 20, 25 and 30 plus years.”

Over fifty people were in attendance at this years United Way Annual Report.
