Chamber Introduces New Activities Director

The Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce has hired John M. Terry III as the new Director of Activities Division of the Chamber.

Terry is a 24 year Army veteran and said that he considers Fort Riley andJOHN TERRY Junction City home. “I returned back to Fort Riley about five years ago with the intent to retire here within the community.”

In the Army Terry served in the Combat Aviation Brigade and 1st ID HQ at Fort Riley.

He held numerous responsibilities relating to training, information operations, public affairs, and community outreach which he hopes will help him in his new role.

“When I worked at the Division Head Quarters or the Combat Aviation Brigade their on post I dealt with community outreach, the adopt the school programs and the big community events. I was quite familiar with not only this community but other community’s and the Chambers and Military Affairs.”

Wednesday was Terry’s first official day on the job. One of his biggest projects will be the Grocery Grab on May 17th.
