Levi MaVorhis threw his second shutout of the season as Kansas State defeated Kansas in Big 12 baseball at Tointon Family Stadium in Manhattan Friday.
MaVorhis finished the game with four strikeouts and two walks.
According to k-statesports.com the shutout for Kansas State was the largest in the all-time series against KU since a 10-0 win April 11, 1969.
Game two of the three-game weekend series is scheduled at two p.m. Saturday at Tointon Family Stadium.
