Tickets are still available for St. Xavier’s 28th Annual Auction scheduled for Saturday night.
Last years auction raised approximately $100,000 and Shawn Augustine,
Assistant Principal, is hoping to do better this year.
“As you know anytime with schools, especially a private school like us, we’re not receiving funds from the state, and so you have to have somewhere to gain some of that money besides just tuition from students,” Augustine said.
The auction will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the schools gymnasium. Tickets are $35 per person. That ticket will allow you to enjoy a buffet meal and participate in both the silent and live auctions.
Augustine said that they have a lot of items up for auction this year including all types of class baskets.
“I can say there’s some that are international food type ones, there’s some that have adult beverages. There’s just a variety of different things.”
The silent auction’s will shut down at different times through out the live auction, which will start at 7:00 p.m..
