Dr. Steve Noble is the second candidate that will interview for the superintendent of schools job in Geary USD 475.

USD officials are announcing the candidates as their scheduled interview approaches.

Noble is currently the Superintendent of Schools for Durham-Hillsboro-Lehigh USD 410 in Hillsboro, Kansas. He also serves on state leadership councils and committees ranging from the Kansas College and Career Ready Assessment Advisory Council to the KSSA College and Career Readiness Committee. His past positions include assistant superintendent, principal, assistant principal, and activities director for the USD 312 Haven school district. Noble has also held positions as an Industrial Technology teacher, Head high school football, basketball, and track coach. He has a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Wichita State University, a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Eastern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Science in Technology Education.

On Tuesday evening the Board of Education interviewed Dr. Darren, assistant superintendent of schools and director of learning services for USD 457 in Garden City.

The Board plans to interview five candidates for the superintendent’s position. They are seeking a successor to Ron Walker, who is retiring in June.
