I-70 Construction to Resume in Dickinson County

Construction on I-70 in Dickinson County is scheduled to resume today ( Thursday ) when KDOT (1)westbound traffic is moved onto the passing lane of the completed eastbound lanes placing traffic in a head to head arrangement beginning at the east end of the project with traffic moving back onto the westbound lanes at the I-70 – Jeep Road Interchange.  Eastbound traffic wanting to exit at Jeep Road will need to continue east to the I-70/K-43 Interchange exit and reenter I-70 westbound then exit at Jeep Road.

K-43 will beclosed Monday to allow for the westbound I-70 / K43 Interchange Bridge to be removed. Ramps will remain but eastbound traffic onto K-43 will not be able to travel north for five days. Westbound traffic exiting at K-43 will be restricted from traveling south. A detour will be in place to direct traffic through the area. K-43 is scheduled to be completely reopened by Saturday March 29.
