The annual First Infantry Division Artillery reunion will be in Junction City next Wednesday through Friday.

John Seitz, Military Affairs Director, has been organizing the reunion.

“It’s our effort to connect these veterans with the soldiers who are currently serving in the artillery units in the First Division,” Seitz said.

Multiple planned activities have been scheduled including visits to Fort Riley to see the equipment being used by the current artillery units.

“They have fun getting together and swapping lies, it’s a good thing,” Seitz said. “They’re going to have lunch both Wednesday and Thursday in dining facilities with soldiers, where they get to talk to soldiers and swap stories.”

Seitz also said that a majority of those who will be attending are veterans  of the Vietnam war.
