Two Junction City men were arrested Tuesday following the execution of a search warrant.
The Junction City-Geary County Drug Operations Group, assisted by the
Kansas Highway Patrol, Junction City/Geary County SWAT, and local uniformed law enforcement officers, executed the search warrants at 1919 Northwind Drive Lot #2, and 1501 Dean Street in Junction City.
Arrested was Steven J. Parks, 28, of Junction City. He was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to distribute marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, no Kansas drug tax stamp, felony possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Also arrested was Matthew Redding, 35, of Junction City. He was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to distribute marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, no Kansas drug tax stamp, felony possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both were confined at the Geary County Detention Center pending their first appearance in Geary County District Court.
The Drug Operations Group seized marijuana with an estimated street value of $43,000, drug paraphernalia, and a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban.
The Drug Operations Group is a joint task force composed of members of the Junction City Police Department, Geary County Sheriff’s Department, and Grandview Plaza Police Department.
