The Kansas State Wildcats ( 5-7 ) won heir home baseball opener at Tointon Family Stadium on Friday.

K-State scored three runs in the first inning, and then held off the Iowa Hawkeyes ( 9-2 ) by a final score of  3-2.

The teams are scheduled to play again at 3 p.m. Saturday in Manhattan.
