Big 12 champion Kansas will be the number one seed in the 2014 Phillips 66 big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament.  Kansas state will be the number five seed.

The pairings for the tournament have been announced. First round games will be next Wednesday with No. 8 Oklahoma State playing No. 9 Texas Tech and No. 7 Baylor meeting No. 10 TCU.

The winner of the Oklahoma State – Texas Tech game will advance to meet Kansas at two p.m. Thursday at Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The Baylor – TCU winner will play second seeded Oklahoma at six p.m. Thursday. Also on Thursday Kansas State will meet No. 4 Iowa State at 11:30 a.m. and third seeded Texas will play the No. six seed West Virginia at 8:30 p.m.

Tournament semifinals are Friday evening, March 14, and the championship game is scheduled at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 15.
