The Pin’s Were Falling in Wichita Blue Jay Boys Take Third at State

The Junction City High School boys bowling team took third this year at the State Bowling Tournament in Wichita.

This years team of Michael Youngs, Kris Quidachay, Will Wriston, Aaron BLUE JAY BOWLINGCoffman, Ian Yeazell and Jayson Quicksall rolled a 2,699, just 14 pins out of second and 58 pins out of first.

“That beats our best by like 84 pins on a day,” said Brad Adams, Head Coach. “We were peaking at the right time.”

The team had three bowlers that placed in the top 20. Coffman placed 10th with a 681, Quicksall placed 12th with a 678, and Wriston finished 14th with a 672.

“Those are excellent scores and when you put three in the top 20, that’s phenomenal,” Adams said.

The Blue Jays won’t lose anyone to graduation this year either.

“No body’s leaving so we should be back already making projections for next year hopefully.”
