There will be a tornado safety drill Tuesday afternoon in Kansas.

In Geary County that is expected to occur about 1:30 p.m.

This is an annual event conducted by Kansas Emergency Management in conjunction with the National Weather Service.

During the drill in Geary County emergency warning sirens are expected to sound. KJCK AM, The Talk of JC, will also be participating in that drill. The Talk of JC will air tornado safety instructions and test our emergency alert system.
