The Kansas Highway Patrol reported two people were transported to Geary Community Hospital in Junction City following a two-vehicle accident on Sunday. It occurred at the K-18 – I-70 junction two miles east of Grandview Plaza.

KHP reported that Barbara Kannenberg, 72, and Sherry Wheeler, 43, both of Grandview Plaza were taken to the hospital for treatment of a possible injury. They were passengers in one of the two vehicles involved in the accident about 9:25 a.m. No other injuries were reported.

The Geary County Sheriff’s Department reported Deputies worked a single vehicle injury accident in the area of Lyons Creek Road and Adams Road. Chantell J. Maxwell of Junction City was westbound in a 1999 Ford when she lost control on the snow. The vehicle entered a ditch and rolled. Maxwell was transported by private vehicle to Geary Community Hospital with minor injuries.

The Geary County Sheriff’s Department reported Deputies responded to milepost 12 on K-57 Highway for a single vehicle injury accident. Christina Knowles of Junction City was northbound in a 2004 Chevrolet Z-71 when she lost control on the snow. The vehicle entered a ditch and rolled. Knowles refused medical treatment.
