The Geary USD 475 Board of Education will consider the guranteed maximum price for the construction of the new Fort Riley Elementary School on Monday.
The Board meets at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Freshman Success Academy.
A $16 million federal grant has been awarded to the school district to help pay for the new elementary school, which will be located on the Fort Riley military installation. Other local match funding totaling approximately $4 million will be provided through a combination of state funds, and federal impact aid money received by the school district.
The proposed guranteed maximum price to build the new school totals $18,410,000 dollars.
