Prominent Junction City Business Man and Rancher Passed Away

A prominent Junction City business man and rancher, Howard Langvardt died today. He was 69 years old.

Langvardt and his family own and operate JC Livestock.

According to a family member the funeral service for Howard Langvardt will be Thursday, February 27th, at 10:30 a.m. at the 1st Presbyterian Church in Junction City. There will be visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the church.

Howard Langvardt started JC Livestock with his father Vern Langvardt. The business just began it’s 48th year of operation in Junction City.

Howard Langvardt is survived by his wife and three sons, plus eight grand-children.

Memorials have been established to the 1st Presbyterian Church, The Good Shepherd Hospice House of Manhattan, and the Chapman Recreation Department.

Langvardt became ill recently, and had been hospitalized.
