Multiple accidents are being reported in Geary County on both I-70 and the K-18 bypass. 

Emergency Management Director Garry Berges reported accidents east of Grandview Plaza, including one near the Fort Riley exit, another near the Humboldt Creek exit, and multiple accidents between the 304 and  the 306 mile posts about eight – ten miles east of Junction City. Berges also reported one possible injury accident near the 313 exit on the Interstate,

More accidents have been reported this morning on the K-18 bypass between Junction City and Ogden. One witness John Powers who was traveling east on K-18 John Powers said the River Bridge is completely iced over. Some cars are bouncing off the rails, two or three that I drove by. It’s just pure slush. ” He noted he did not see injuries but some cars were probably totaled. Powers llater reported more accidents on the K-18 bypass.

In Riley County the police dispatch has reported multiple accidents on the Interstate, K-18 bypass, and US 77 near Randolph.

Icy roads are leading to the accidents.
