Freshman Marcus Foster has been named the Phillips 66 Big 12 Newcomer of the Week for the second time after his season-high 34-point effort in the Kansas State win over No. 15 / 18 Texas.

Foster became the first K-State true freshman to earn the weekly honor twice since Michael Beasley did it for the eighth and final time on March 3, 2008. He joins Beasley and Bill Walker ( redshirt Freshman ) as the only freshmen in school history to earn the accolade mroe than once in a season.

Foster won the award for the first time on Jan. 6 after averaging 16 points in wins over George Washington and No. 6 / 6 Oklahoma State.
