The Junction City Arts Council is looking at the possibility of an art explosion in the park event.
Michael Gray, Arts Council Vice President, explained June is the tentative
month for this event. He wants a festival dedicated to the arts.
Gray said they are still in negotiations with the city.
“If it doesn’t happen in June its still going to happen this coming up year,” Gray said. “I would like a big event. I would like to have carriage rides, close down some streets get some bands, get some artists from all over to come.”
Grays hope is to be able to show that Junction City can be as good as any city around when it comes to arts and culture.
