Riley County police are reporting Wednesday that they responded to the Ray’s Apple Market East location in Manhattan at approximately 9:05 p.m. Wednesday.
Police said they were contacted regarding an armed robbery and aggravated assault that had just occurred at the 222 N. 6th Street location.
Upon their arrival, police stated they learned that two subjects, one brandishing a handgun, had entered the grocery store and then a short time later were able to flee the area with an unreleased amount of U.S. currency.
Police officers and detectives with the Riley County Police Department are investigating the case.
