– Geary Community Hospitals: Becoming a Mom Classes Cancelled Wednesday.

– 1st Christian Church, 1429 St. Mary’s Rd., evening programs cancelled.

– Noon Kiwanis Club meeting,  cancelled.

– USD 475, Junction City, Fort Riley, Milford and Grandview Plaza Schools have been closed for Wednesday, February 5th.  The announcement made by Superintendent of Schools Ron Walker.

– St. Xavier’s Schools, closed  Wednesday, February 5th.

– USD 473 Chapman Schools, closed Wednesday, February 5th.

– USD 481 Rural Vista, Hope and White City Schools, closed, February 5th.

– USD 320 Wamego closed Wednesday February 5th.

– USD 383 Manhattan closed Wednesday February 5th.

– USD 435 Abilene closed Wednesday.

– USD 487 Herington closed Wednesday

– USD 379 Clay County Schools ( Clay Center, Wakefield )

– Barton Community college – Fort Riley Campus, classes cancelled and offices closed on Wednesday

– Manhattan Christian College closed February 5th

– Kansas State University campuses in Manhattan, Salina, and Olathe will be closed on Wednesday, and classes will not be in session. The K-State Center for Child Development will also be closed. Essential employees, including those who are involved with housing, feeding, and safety of students and campus buildings, should report to work if possible. All other employees may remain home.

– Classes  on Wednesday at the Geary County campus of Cloud County Community College have been cancelled.

– Geary County offices will be closed Wednesday, February 5th.  Essential departments including sheriff and public works will be on duty.

– Fort Riley, including Irwin Army Community Hospital, will continue to operate with minimal manning and providing limited services Wednesday, Feb. 5th.  Employees or Soldiers uncertain if they are expected to work are encouraged to contact their supervisor before attempting to travel to work.

– Geary Community Hospital essential personnel only reporting to work Wednesday, February 5th.

– The Dorothy Bramlage Public Library in Junction City will be closed Wednesday, February 5th.

– Immanual Luthern Early Childhood Center will be closed.

– The Armed Services YMCA will be closed on Wednesday. The Family YMCA on McFarland Road will try to open at noon, but officials urge you to call if you plan on coming there so that they can ensure someone is there.

– All activities for the Highland Baptist Church in Junction City on Wednesday have been cancelled.

– The Junction City Breakfast Optimist Club meeting at 6:30 a.m.  has been cancelled.

– Geary County Senior Citizens Center, closed

– The 70th Annual Ground Hog Supper from the men of Lyona United Methodist Church, postponed until Monday, February 10th.  Serving will begin at 3:30 p.m.
