Geary USD 475 Superintendent of Schools Ron Walker is retiring.  That will be effective June 30 at the end of the contract year.

Walker notified USD 475 employees of that decision via email Wednesday morning. In that email which was provided to JCPost.com Walker addressed other rumors.

He stated he is planning to be in Geary County, yes his house is for sale, and he is going to move into town in a much smaller home.

Walker said he does not have a job that he has accepted, and he will not work in another school district after USD 475.

Walker said yes the job is extremely stressful, and it did not bother him because he loves tense situations and the challenge. He called working in USD 475 a dream come true because of the many dedicated people and their love for children.
