All fires that occured in the Fort Riley training areas on Wednesday are contained, and Fort Riley Fire Department personnel are redeploying back to station.

That was effective at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening, according to Steve Elstrom of the Fort Riley Public Affairs Office.

A series of fires occurred in the training land area on the north side of Fort Riley. The first two fires burned approximately 200 acres apiece.  Two other fires were being contained and assessed later in the day.
