A New Bar and Grill Opens its Doors in Junction City

Ike’s Place Bar and Grill opened it’s doors Tuesday in Junction City.

A ribbon cutting was held by the Junction City Area Chamber of CommerceIKES RIBBON Tuesday morning at the restaurant, located in the former Country Kitchen location along Goldenbelt Boulevard.

The sports bar pays tribute to former United States President Dwight D. Eisenhower and has multiple pictures and pieces of Eisenhower memorabilia inside.

The hope is to be able to attract soldiers from Fort Riley to the restaurant because of Eisenhower’s military background according to Kasey Hanney, Ike’s Place General Manager,”Just to experience a little bit of his history, his background and a few photos and memorabilia.”

Ike’s Place offers a wide variety of food on it’s menu from pasta and seafood to steaks and vegetarian options.

The restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 12 a.m..

Hanney said the restaurant has a proven track record because there is also an Ike’s Place Bar and Grill located in Abilene which has been in business for two years.
