The Emporia Lady Spartans defeated the Junction City Lady Jays 43-35 Tuesday night in Emporia.

Emporia led in all four quarters, at one point by as many as 11 points in the third quarter. Junction City cut the lead to six in the fourth quarter.

The Lady Jays were led in scoring by Kori Kamm who finished the game with 10 points.

Junction City moved to 3-6 on the season and 1-4 in the centennial league. Emporia improved to 6-3 on the season and 3-2 in the centennial league.

The Lady Jays will be in action again on Friday night at home against Highland Park.
