The Junction City session of the Regional Leaders Retreat will be Tuesday in Junction City.

The Community Retreat will be a chance for local residents not attending the Regional Leaders Retreat in Overland Park January 17th and 18th to have their voice heard.

“We’re looking to get everyone on the same page and kind of have that same consistent message for when we head to Kansas City and we break out into the group sessions with the Manhattan and Wamego folks,” said Nikki Davies, Chamber Activities Director.

The Community Retreat will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the C.L. Hoover Opera House. It will feature a State of the City address, State of the County address and a State of the Consolidated Chamber address. It will also review the regional retreat and go over some of the topics that will be discussed during the regional retreat. Those topics include land use, transportation in the region, workforce development and branding.

Those attending the regional retreat do not have to pay to attend the community retreat. The cost to attend the community retreat for those not going to the regional retreat will be $15.
