One goal in the coming years for the Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce will be to successfully recruit a game changer industry.

Chamber CEO Tom Weigand explained that would bring in the talent, “the people who create wealth and invest here, and stay here, and can provide leadership in the community.” Weigand added he was thinking in terms of 100-plus employees and perhaps a 10-15-20 million dollar investment. “Get out there and compete for jobs and our available workforce.”

The information was provided by the Chamber CEO during an annual Chamber report to the Geary County Commission.
