The search resumed Tuesday morning for a Fort Riley soldier that drowned while duck hunting at Milford Lake on Dec. 24.

Since the drowning the body of Thomas Hedrick, 31, has not been recovered.

Geary County Sheriff Tony Wolf said he had numerous boats coming in from across Kansas. “I have boats that are equipped with side scan sonar, and I have dive teams. I have two dive teams that will be in here. I’ve got a whole bunch of personnel that are coming in to assist with this.”

The search is under way in the Charley’s Point area on the southwest side of Milford Lake.
