The Geary County Commission has included a two and a half percent general pay raise for county employees in the county’s 2014 budget.

Ben Bennett, county commission chairman, noted there would also be an adjustment to the pay scale, “and move it up one percent so our starting pay will be a little higher for those individuals, and percentage of raise will go in for the short term employees as well as the long term employees.”

The Commission discussed the pay increases during their meeting on Monday.
