K-State announces start time for Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl pep rally
MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State University fans have responded with overwhelming enthusiasm to plans for K-State’s activities associated with the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl on Dec. 28 in Tempe, Ariz. Today, the K-State Alumni Association and K-State Athletics announced the location and start time for the ever-popular pep rally.
PEP RALLY
The K-State pep rally will begin at approximately 1:00 p.m. (MST), Friday, Dec. 27, at Frontier Hall at Rawhide Western Town, 5700 W. North Loop Road, in Chandler, Ariz. The K-State football team, coaches, band, cheerleaders, university dignitaries and Willie the Wildcat will participate in the pep rally, brought to you by the K-State Alumni Association, K-State Athletics, Kansas State University Foundation and the President’s Office. Rawhide Western Town opens at noon and gates to Frontier Hall for the pep rally will open at 1:00 p.m.
K-Staters will have the opportunity to experience a taste of the southwest in this unique and family-friendly venue. Rawhide Western Town is Arizona’s largest western-themed attraction with 1880s-style family entertainment. Transportation to and from the pep rally is included in the Alumni Association’s travel packages. Those traveling separately will find available parking for $5 per vehicle. All Wildcat fans are welcome to attend this free event. Concessions will be available at the pep rally.
K-STATE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION PREGAME PARTY
The Alumni Association is proud to provide an event prior to the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl for fans to celebrate the 2013 football season. The K-State Alumni Association Pregame Party will take place at Old Main at Arizona State University, 400 E. Tyler Mall, in Tempe (just 10 minutes south of Sun Devil Stadium). The pregame party begins at 5:00 p.m. (MST). Advance registration is required for this two-hour event, and the deadline is noon Dec. 20, 2012. Fans traveling to Arizona can make reservations online at www.k-state.com/bowl or by calling 800-600-ALUM (2586). Adult tickets are $60 and child tickets (ages 4-17) are $40.

www.k-statesports.com/tickets or by phone at 800-221-CATS. Fans are strongly encouraged to order through K-State’s official allotment to ensure that all Wildcat fans are seated in the official K-State sections of the stadium.

The K-State Super Store will have K-State merchandise for sale at the official K-State hotel, the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa, 6902 E. Greenway Pkwy, Scottsdale, Ariz. Fans also are invited to join fellow K-Staters at the Tilted Kilt, 2 E. Jefferson, Phoenix, Ariz., for a KMAN broadcast Thursday, Dec. 26, andFriday, Dec. 27, and a Powercat Gameday broadcast Saturday, Dec. 28. There will food and drink specials for anyone wearing K-State gear.

Parking at the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl is limited. K-State fans traveling on their own can purchase a parking pass for $20 through the K-State Athletic Ticket Office at 800-221-CATS (2287) or at www.kstatesports.com.
