Emergency personnel responded to the quarry west of Junction City off of Poland Road early Wednesday afternoon for a workplace accident that resulted in a fatality.

Tony Wolf, Geary County Sheriff released the following information,”The accident has resulted in a fatality. Right now we are not releasing any information as to what has occurred or the name of the victim. It is under investigation.”

The Geary County Sheriff’s Department along with Geary County Emergency Management and Junction City Fire and EMS responded to the accident.
