The arraignment for Lisa Junghans has been continued in Geary County District Court.

Junghans is the former Director of the Junction City Geary County Animal Shelter. She is accused of stealing approximately $40,000 from that facility.
John Taylor, Assistant Geary County Attorney, said the case was continued until December 23rd by journal entry on a motion by the defense attorney involving a child care conflict today.
During arraignment a defendant can enter a plea to the charge against them. In this case Junghans is charged with one count of felony theft. Her attorney, John Thurston, has stated Junghans will plead not guilty to the charge.
