Law enforcement and emergency personnel responded to an accident on the K-18 bypass over I-70 near the 303 exit on Interstate 70 .

The accident occurred just before three o’clock Monday afternoon.

According to authorities on scene a pick-up traveling south on K-18 over the I-70 bypass failed to yield at a stop sign and struck another pick-up turning north onto K-18 from the eastbound I-70 off ramp. An occupant in the turning vehicle was transported by EMS to a hospital. The condition and name of the injured victim has not been released.

The Geary County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the accident. No other information is being released.
