A proposed increase for the 2014 rate fees at Rolling Meadows Golf Course was approved during last nights City Commission meeting.

John Bernstein, Rolling Meadows PGA General Manger, said that the rate fee increase is an effort to make the golf course profitable,”this would include all annual fees as well as daily fees.”

He said that he contacted neighboring golf courses in order to see where Rolling Meadows stands in comparison, “We are well below some and slightly below others. Even with the increase we will remain so.”

Based on 2013 participation at Rolling Meadows the increase in rates would equal in estimated $15,000 in additional revenue.

The commission approved the increase 3-1 with Commissioner Mick McCallister opposed.
