Kansas State rushed for 291 yards and five touchdowns, the defense had five sacks and came up with three turnovers as the Wildcats rolled past Texas Tech 49-26 in Lubbock Saturday.
The Wildcats scored 28 consecutive points during one stretch of the first half enroute to the victory, which left them 5-4 overall and 3-3 in the Big 12.
Ty Zimmerman returned an interception for a touchdown. The Junction City product now has 13 career interceptions at Kansas State, tying him for third all-time in KSU history with Dyshod Carter, who played for the Wildcats from 1997 to 2000.
John Hubert ran for 157 yards for the Wildcats in the victory.
Kansas State will host TCU at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. The Wildcats need one more win to become bowl eligible.
After the TCU Game K-State hosts Oklahoma and goes to Kansas to close out the regular season.
