The Geary County Sheriff’s Department reports deputies responded to the area of K-177 and Old Highway 18 just after 6:30 a.m. Friday for a single vehicle – deer accident.
The driver, William Lansing, Council Grove, received minor injuries as a result of the crash. Lansing was driving a Ford Explorer.
The S-O reported two other non-injury accidents on Thursday.
The Sheriff’s Department said one occurred at U.S. 77 and Old Milford road where Deane Malley of Milford attempted to turn onto U.S. 77 from Old Milford Road in a Saturn. She pulled out into traffic in front of Jonathon Dunlap of Junction city, who was northbound in a Pontiac G6. There were no injuries.
In a second accident on Thursday deputies responded to U.S. 77 for a two vehicle non-injury accident. Benjamin Scott of Fort Riley was northbound on 77 in a Chevrolet Cobalt when his foot slipped off the clutch onto the brake causing his vehicle to come to an abrupt stop in the roadway. Dalton E.J. Becker of Junction City was northbound behind Scott in a Chevrolet Cobalt, and struck Scott from the rear.
