A three vehicle injury accident in a construction zone area Monday sent one person, Dengelei Vera Landrum of Junction City to Irwin Army Community Hospital at Fort Riley.

The Geary County Sheriff’s Department reported the accident occurred near milepost 157 on U.S. 77.. A Chevrolet pickup driven by Allen E. Preston of Junction City was southbound when it struck a stopped Mercedes-Benz driven by Landrum. The impact pushed the Mercedes-Benz into a Hyundai driven by Jerami J. Selby of Junction City, that was also stopped waiting for a pilot car in  construction zone.
