The Geary USD 475 Board of Education will be asked Monday to approve a travel request by the Junction City High School Marching Band, Chamber Orchestra and JC Singers.

The JCHS groups have been invited to perform at the 2015 Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Ron Walker, Superintendent, confirmed the travel request Friday,”We’ve never been to the Sugar Bowl so this would be a very culturally enriching activity for our members of the band.”

The travel party will consist of approximately 250 students and adults. The trip will begin December 28th, 2014 and end January 3rd, 2015.
