Trick or treaters will be out in force Thursday evening in Junction City and many other communities. It is Halloween.
In Junction City the hours designated for trick or treating are 6 to 8 p.m.
Police Chief Tim Brown noted the witches wail siren will sound at 8 o’clock to signal the end of the trick or treating. Extra police will be out on patrol Thursday evening.
Brown said, “We’d encourage parents out there to be vigilant as always on Halloween activities, supervising their children, checking the candy, obviously they go to residences where they are aware and familiar with the people that live there to avoid any problems.
Brown also advised to make sure children are wearing brightly colored clothing and nothing dark.
