Junction City Area Chamber of officials are estimating 700 to 800 people participated in the All Treats Day celebraton downtown Tuesday evening.
Nikki Davies, chamber of commerce activities division director saw all sorts of costumes. “Of course Duck Dynasty wins this year. A lot of lady bugs, lot of princess.”
The activities began with a parade involving children in costume and their parents walking on Washington Street from 10th to 6th Street. The parade was led by the Junction City High School marching band. Then there was trick or treating with the merchants on Washington Street. That was followed by games and more candy at the Municipal Building, sponsored by the Junction City Recreation Department.
Davies said there might be one change for All Treats Day next year. “Next year, I’m not exactly sure. We might add on to other people coming down and setting up on the street as well, so maybe not limit it just to Washington.”
