With children of all ages running around in costume Thursday for Halloween, trick or treat hours have been set for six to eight p.m. in Junction City.
The witches wail siren will sound at eight p.m. which will signal the end of trick or treating according to Tim Brown, Junction City Police Chief, “We encourage parents out there to be vigilant as always on Halloween activities.”
Some of those activities include supervising children, checking candy, going to residence’s where you are aware and familiar with the people who live there. Brown also suggested that children should wear,”brightly colored clothing, nothing dark.”
It is also suggested, if possible, to carry a flashlight. Extra police will be out on patrol Thursday evening.
